PZO: As an artist, what are your best qualities?
Lolene: I think my ability to write my own music and to perform and to express a every day situation in a quirky fashion.

PZO: Describe your music in five words or less.
Lolene: An eclectic pop cocktail shaken not stirred.

PZO: What’s your main goal to accomplish as an artist?

Lolene: Pop domination. Universal pop domination.

PZO: What’s the worst advice you’ve ever been given?

Lolene: Give up.

PZO: Who would you love to work with musically?
Lolene: Kate Bush.
PZO: Just her?
Lolene: Ace of Base, Prince, ABBA, Madonna and Fergie.

PZO: What is something you’d like to do before the end of the year?
Lolene: Have two number ones.

PZO: What is your first single, “Rich” about?

Lolene: It’s about living your dreams and believing in yourself. It’s about feeling like you're golden or living like you’re golden even if you have no money.

PZO: You just filmed the video for that recently, right?
Lolene: I just shot it. I’m so excited, babe. I shot it a day before yesterday; it was a two day shoot. It really was an amazing experience and I can’t wait to share it with you guys.

PZO: On your twitter, you had a picture of yourself doing a stunt. How was that?

Lolene: Yeah, I was practicing. That was a practice day. Oh my gosh, we did it at 4am and I was hanging from this wire looking like Kate Bush and it was fantastic and I was really tired by it I was just so happy to be doing that. Yeah, it’s a little surprise, you’ll see it.

PZO: So you can’t give us any hints on what we’ll see?

Lolene: I really want it be a surprise. I really do. It’s going to be very colorful and a real mixture of things, but it really captures the essence of the song and it has humor in it as well.

PZO: When will the video be released?
Lolene: It’s being edited right now. We are hoping to get it finished and out there a.s.a.p in the next two weeks.
PZO: I’ll keep an eye out for that.
Lolene: Yeah, please do.

PZO: What’s your favorite song off The Electrick Hotel?
Lolene: My favorite song is always my next song, but I’m really proud of “Rich”. I think it’s a great pop song and I think it’s going to be the summer anthem of this year. But my favorite song is “LionHeart” on my album.
PZO: Why is that?
Lolene: I really think it has both lyrical and vocal substance that you can appreciate if you’ve ever been in love. It’s about being brave enough to love and that's important because I’m an ambassador of love. It’s close to my heart. No pun intended.

PZO: Given the opportunity, who would you kidnap for a day?
Lolene: I would kidnap Barry Zito because he’s hot.
PZO: Who’s that?
Lolene: He’s a baseball player.

PZO: What was the last meaningful thing you did?
Lolene: The last meaningful thing I did was give a competition winner her name was LaShonte, she won my dancejam.com competition to appear in my video, and my last meaningful thing I did was to inspire her according to her and give her the best experience of her life she said. So that was really wonderful and meaningful.

PZO: What event in your life had the greatest impact on you?
Lolene: Gosh, so many it’s hard to condense to one. One memorable event was signing my record deal because I’d been trying for many years. It was something I worked hard for a long time and prayed for, so that really was the beginning of my journey from being a writer to an artist, so that had a big impact on me.

PZO: What’s the best lesson you’ve ever learned?
Lolene: The best lesson I’ve ever learned would have to be don’t take no for an answer.

PZO: Would you rather everything you say be considered an insult or a turn on?
Lolene: I don’t want to insult anybody, but I don’t want to come on to everybody. <laughs> I would like everything I say to be noted in the context in which I said it.

PZO: In 60 seconds, tell us why everyone should buy your album The Electrick Hotel when it comes out August 24th.
Lolene: Because if you’ve ever been in love or you’ve ever wanted to dance then you’re definitely going to enjoy the album. Also, I wrote it for you. Each room is a different song and everyone can definitely relate to at least one song on the album. Also, the cocktails are on me, so come in check in. I’ll be your host and you’ll be my audio guest and you’ll never want to leave.

PZO: Is there anything you’d like to say to your fans, new and old?
Lolene: Yeah, I want to say to my existing and future fans that I love you so much and you’re the reason I stay up ‘til all hours of the morning working very hard and you inspire me and I thank you for that. I thank you for your support and your amazing tweets on twitter. I try to answer every single person that tweets me, so if you have any questions for me feel free to on twitter or facebook. I just want to say you are my inspiration and dreams come true and that life is a cocktail. Thank you so much.
